Rare Retired Ty 1997 Beanie Baby RAINBOW Chameleon, First edition of Rainbow with no tongue, Wrong IGGY Hang Tag and tush tag , Mint with Mint Tag , Original, PVC pellets, 5 th generation swing tag and 5th version tush tag. 1997 Ty Inc – Oakbrook, IL USA. Oak Brook is 2 words not one as written on tush tag. Error in color- tye-dyed in bright greens, pinks, yellows, purples and oranges (rather than dark blue color- factory workers mixed up fabrics for this beanie baby with that of the “Rainbow” the Chameleon). PVC pellets used in early productions like this one 1997. They were not used after 1998. Green Spikes on back. Bar Code 008421 040384. Numeric Date of Birth August 12, 1997. Tush tag- No stamp on inside or outside indicating an early generation born prior to the days of mass production – ultra rare. And Red Star near TY Heart are “highly sought after” on tush tag. NO PA 1965 (KR) (Korean Market, which indicates a limited production to Korean Markets NOT mass produced). Only 7 Errors on this one! Ultra rare 1997 first generation Iggy. Very few of the original 1997 Iggys had a tongue and spikes. This beanie babies name is actually rainbow. The Iggy tag is an error, which was fixed in later generations. If you look you will find that most original authentic 1st generation Iggys DO NOT have a tongue and spikes.
