Please see below for details. I price my beanie babies fairly! Condition: Mint with Mint Tag; Wrong hang tag and tush tag though which increases value. Had been in storage for the last 25 years. Original owner; non-smoking home. Vintage: 1997 birthday; PVC pellets (before 1998) and no stamp inside (not mass produced). It was only made between December 1997 to June 1998 before the tags were switched back to Rainbow. Swing tag: 5th generation tag (early 1997 to Late 1999). Tush tag: version 5. Error in color- tye-dyed in bright greens, pinks, yellows, purples and oranges (rather than dark blue color- factory workers mixed up fabrics for this beanie baby with that of the “Rainbow” the Chameleon). PVC pellets used in early productions like this one 1997. They were not used after 1998. Green Spikes on back. Bar Code 008421 040384. Numeric Date of Birth August 12, 1997. Tush tag- No stamp on inside or outside indicating an early generation born prior to the days of mass production – ultra rare. And Red Star near TY Heart are “highly sought after” on tush tag. NO PA 1965 (KR) (Korean Market, which indicates a limited production to Korean Markets NOT mass produced). Only 7 Errors on this one! Very rare and with multiple errors. This Beanie stands out from the rest. The original Iggy or Rainbow were all supposed to be colored a darkish blue green. The tye dye was supposedly an accident early on in production. Eventually they went with it. That is why there’s a couple different Iggy’s coloration. The other Iguanas have tongues. This particular one does not. The red eyes and green spikes are highlights that were also errors. This guy is from 1997 and has PE Pellets. Those were used only the first year and with the original Beanie Babies. That had changed by 1998. One of the very first made im told had the bar code 008421040384. This Beanie Baby has that exact same set of numbers. Indicating i5 was made very early on. Some of the errors on the tags include lack of a question mark. Some double spacing and a handful of other. You may ask if you are curious. Last is the star next to the TY heart. Those are very sought after to collectors. Much like this one. So if you are going to add an Iguana to your collection. He is very special in many ways. He will always be a rare commodity in a sea of Iggys.
