In early 1999 an idea was hatched. A special butterfly named Flitter with pastel colors was coming together. An attempt was made to craft a representation of the designers thought process. The result was a single beanie prototype that would evolve into Flitter. June 2/1999 the iterations of the proposed beanies were few and sometimes singular. This Flitter prototype deemed Amazing and ULTRA RARE Magnificent Beanie! Beautiful PROTOTYPE Ty Butterfly! By Becky’s True Blue Beans. Flitter comes from a smoke free home and has been in my possession since 1999. There is no hang tag and a PAX Trading Company tush tag. A little about me. At one time I had multiple iterations of EVERY:Beanie Baby (1st, 2nd and 3rd generation), Beanie Buddy, Ty Kids, Boppers, Pluffies, Baby Ty and quite a few prototypes. One year here, it was very lean and I donated my whole collection, save Wales (My husband was born in Wales) and a few prototypes, to Toys for Tots along with 2 or 3 boxes of hand made clothes, my collection of Barbies and all that goes with it. I miss my collection but feel secure in the knowledge a lot of children might be a bit happier.
