Stitching on back of head isn’t straight and veers to left. Swing tag; colon (:) after DOB is spaced. 1994 DOB (does not match the bear). Tush tag; 1993 tag (does not match DOB). Extra space after “homemade” & “in”. #4 most sought after Valuable Beanie. This bears Rarity Features includes.. Swing tag; 1998 DOB (does not match the bear). Extra space at end of poem! Tush tag; 1999 (does not match DOB). Swing Hang Tag Gen 5. Both include collector case. One case has a crack on hinge. Does not affect working condition. Very Rare Retired 1996 Ty Original Beanie Baby Bernie the St Bernard with Errors
This comes from a smoke free home and is in excellent condition. Noted errors / rare features (see pictures for details). No stamp on the inside of the tush tag. PVC pellets used prior to mass production. Style number listed on hang tag (these style numbers were later removed from future models). Error 1: No comma between “Oakbrook” and “IL” in hang tag. Error 2: Additional “space” between’Date of birth’ and date listed. Error 3: Date of birth reads 10-3-96. Should read October 3, 1996. Error 4: Words “Beanie Baby” are in bold on the front of the swing tag and should not be bold. Error 5: No comma between “Oakbrook” and “IL” on tush tag. Rare combo with error on hang tag as well.
