Very Rare Peace Bear – Original Ty Beanie Baby w/Double Error Tag. This price seems crazy! What if I told you this is half price? I’m wondering if it’s possible that a doll my kids played with could be the pot-o-gold at the end of the rainbow! Here are the things that are supposed to be indicators of the rarity of this as well as some tidbits I’ve found out while researching this phenomenon. This is considered a “pastel” or “washed-out” version of Peace which was only the second style & considered the most desirable (I’ve been told this is a 1st “vivid” edition, but you can look at the colors in closeup for yourself). The front of the hang tag has the 1st error – “ORIGIINAL” is misspelled with 2 “I”s. The rear of the hang tag has a misspelling as well – “Suface” instead of “Surface”. Evidently there is significance to the Ty addresses listed on the left interior of the hang tag – the “Fareham, Hants” is collectible & desirable. The tush tag has both the “circle R” & “TM”. This one has PVC pellets which are scarcer & more collectible than the later PE pellets (supposedly the change occurred after protests by Greenpeace). There is no marking on the interior of the tush tag – this indicates an early run in the manufacturing. Message me with any questions or offers. I’ve included photos so you can see how nice this is.
