Super Rare: 1997 Ty “Princess Diana” Beanie Baby. Made in Indonesia, PVC. Pellets “space” swing tag. NEW Condition, in Collector’s Case (included), always displayed in a dust-free environment. COMES FROM SMOKE FREE AND PET FREE HOME. The purple Princess Diana Beanie Baby bear quickly became iconic when Ty released it in 1997. A special edition created to raise funds for the Diana, Princess of Wales Memorial Fund after the death of Princess Diana. The bear in question: is the one day production, The production date is 10/29/97 and ended 10/29/97. The tush tag of a Princess produced in Indonesia can show it is filled with either P. Tush tags were paired with the Indonesian Princess with ST # 2 (no-space). Tush tags were paired with ST # 3 (space). Although a few have been reported, it is not currently known whether the ST # 3 (space) with a P. Tush tag was a normal production run, an oddity or an intentional tag replacement. That tag combination does not logically fit the tag combination timelines. When quality control was discovered this production was retired from sales. This is a no-space / P. Princess with a lost original swing tag that was subsequently replaced with an incorrect (space) swing tag. Ty discontinued production of Princess in Indonesia because of problems with quality. Only a few of these bears escaped controls and they are found in the sales markets. This version of The bear soon became a must-have for collectors and the People’s Princess fans alike. It often ranks among the more expensive vintage Beanie Babies. Home made in Indonesia “space” swing tag filled with polyvinyl chloride (PVC) pellets. This was one of the beanie babies I bought during the late 90’s craze that was a bonding experience for my mom, my sister and I. I love all the bright colors of it and that it reminds of Thanksgiving with my family. That time fills me with so many positive memories and so much joy to think about. I treat all of my collectibles with great care and respect. It will be package with a ton of bubble wrap and protection. Unfortunately because of the pandemic, my hours have been cut way back at work. I also have been helping my family out financially so I don’t really have a choice.
