“Garcia” Bear – Beanie Baby produced by Ty – Rare 1993 PVC with Hang and Tush Tag Errors. I remember purchasing this bear, not being a fan of Jerry Garcia, but thought the multi-colored tie-dye design was very cool. He sat on a display shelf, as a retro decor piece, in my living room for maybe a year (hence the tag bend). There are both Hang and Tag Errors, which make this unique little guy a rare collectible. Hang Tag Errors Include. The comma is missing after the Oakbrook on the left side. UK is missing after the P08 8HH zip code. The date of birth are numbers vs the traditionally spelled out dates. The poem says “use to” vs “used to” which is what it was changed to in later versions. Date is 1993 vs the Hang Tag’s date of 1995. Whether a collector or like me, just think he’s cool, make his 2nd home yours.

This Rainbow beanie baby has a tongue and head crown. This rainbow fabric is beautiful, and has visually appealing colors which sets him aside from many other color variations. Collectors will love that this Beanie Baby is placed in a tamper-resistant acrylic display case with COA attached. The case is sonically welded shut and the stickers on the outside show it hasn’t been opened to ensure authenticity. SIDE NOTES: Swing tag is 5th generation, style #4037 and it has a 6th generation tush tag. VERY RARE Tush tag stamp. A tush tag stamp shows which factory they were developed.

We would often tease her about her addiction to collecting beanies and sat through many yard sales in the last 10 years as she virtually gave most of them away. She held onto a few that she thought would be rare and collectible and we have one for you. To my knowledge it has never been out of the box except for these pictures. Original 1998 Hope Praying Bear. New Condition with Tags. In original display case box with packaging. This bear is the rare “Error” Bear, which we found using the following clues that are on it. Swing tag includes a star. 1998 birth date on the swing tag. 1999 birth date on the tush tag. No stamp or mark inside tush tag. Mispelling of “Gosport” on inside of swing tag. Extra space between you and exclamation point. Made with original PE pellets.
