RARE Curly Beanie Baby! This Ty Beanie Baby has Multiple Errors! Birthday: April 12, 1996. Curly has a brown nose & black eyes. Swing tag has a ; (semicolon) instead of : (colon) on date of birth. The word “original” on the swing tag is spelled “ORIIGINAL” with two I’s right after the “R”. No “UK” after “PO15 5TX” inside swing tag. “Fareham, Hants” is inside of the swing tag. Has “Suface” instead of “Surface” on the back of the swing tag. Two spaces between “to” and “this” in the poem inside of the swing tag. Tush tag bottom line has “1965(KR)”, which means this was part of Korean market. No stamp or # inside tush tag. Swing tag reads “1996” and tush tag reads “1993”. Second line of poem uses lowercase “y” instead of capital “Y”. Tush tag has “circle R” and “TM”. Has red star on the tush tag. Curly has a dislocated shoulder. I have had him for quite a while now; about 20 years. I have taken excellent care of him and he comes from a SMOKE FREE home!! Curly is in excellent condition – he only has a very tiny, virtually unnoticeable scuff on his nose. Curly has been looked at throughout the years, but never played with. This bear since then was placed into an airtight baggie and has been there since until these pictures. This Bear is 100% immaculate with MANY errors!!! I will do my best to point out the errors and/or possible rarities below. Do not let this guy get by you!! COSTUME REMOVABLE Smoke FREE and pet FREE home!!!! You may not find another Curly in this condition. Noticed errors and/or possible rarities: 1 First sentence has grammatical errors with no comma after “hair”. 2 First sentence should be “that is” and not “that’s”. 3 First sentence has no period at the end. 4 Second sentence of poem starts with a lower case “y” but should be upper case. 5 Second sentence has no period at the end. 6 Second sentence there is an extra space between “To” and “this” in poem. 7 Second sentence there is no period at the end. 8 Third sentence there is not a space between you and the exclamation mark. ” But should be “you! 91996 Date of Birth on swing tag and 1993 date on Tush Tag. 10 Tush tag there is an ink malfunction on the the “s” and the ink is thicker than the other letters. 11 Tush Tag there is a stamp with 103, red star, and Japanese letters. 12 Bear has two black eyes and brown nose. Please serious inquiries only!! This is a true GEM that I would like to go to a serious collector. Has been stored properly for 24 years!! You will receive the actual bear in the photographs. Curly will be placed into a bag and then wrapped in several layers of soft a cushiony materials, to include bubble wrap, and then placed into the box so that it does not move and so that it is safe during transport. This Curly Beanie Baby has numerous errors and comes with all of his original tags including his tush tag and red heart swing tag attached with a red plastic hanger. Please note that his tags and condition are better than those I see that claim to have never been out of a box. He has led a normal life, and is just looking for a new home. Comes from a smoke-free home. No damage – like NEW! This particular Curly bear has one feature that I think sets him apart… He has an uncut string coming from his spine that the original person that sewed him – or quality control – let slip by! I personally have never seen an uncut string on any other Ty products, so in my opinion, that makes him very unusual and fun to show off. Here is a list of the other errors or rarities found on this particular Curly 1. 1996 DOB date on swing tag, but a 1993 date is printed on the tush tag 2. Two black eyes but a brown nose instead of a black nose 3. First line of poem has the word curly capitalized, which is an error since not used as a name 4. The second sentence of the poem starts with a lower case “y” instead of upper case Y 5. There is a double space between “to” and “this” in the third sentence of the poem instead of single space 6. The last line of the poem ends in you! It should read you! This has a space error as well 7. No comma (,) after Oakbrook on swing tag 8. Fareham, Hants is inside the swing tag, indicating limited edition that was handmade and not mass produced 9. Missing UK after PO15 5TX 10. Tush tag bottom line has 1965 (KR) which means this was part of the Korean market 11. There are both “R” and “TM” on tush tag 12. No comma (,) after Oakbrook on tush tag 13. He has a red star on the tush tag 14. No stamp on inside of tush tag In looking over other similar bears, some have noted a slight difference in size of the ears – this bear’s ears are NOT the same size. You can see that in the photos.
