A MWMT Museum Quality prototype Glory TEDDY. This amazing teddy has different variations than the production version of Glory. He has a brown nose, his patch is just tacked on, never stitched as you can see in pictures and a PAX hang tag! This is the ULTIMATE Glory Teddy! The normal Ty production cycle incorporates the use of prototypes that are created in various colors, shapes, and fabrics, to include possible names and even accessories such as Patches (More common on the older prototypes), ribbons, hats, etc. Ty then uses the prototypes along with recommendations from his employees and friends to decide on the final product. The process can sometimes take years, but the normal concept-to-development cycle is probably eight to sixteen months. Almost all of Tys older prototypes were designed by the Pax Corp. Any Ty Prototype with Pax tags makes them that much rarer! Sometimes a prototype design doesn’t make it to final production for various reasons. In early 1999 an idea was hatched. A special butterfly named Flitter with pastel colors was coming together. An attempt was made to craft a representation of the designers thought process. The result was a single beanie prototype that would evolve into Flitter. June 2/1999 the iterations of the proposed beanies were few and sometimes singular. This Flitter prototype deemed Amazing and ULTRA RARE Magnificent Beanie! Beautiful PROTOTYPE Ty Butterfly! By Becky’s True Blue Beans. Flitter comes from a smoke free home and has been in my possession since 1999. There is no hang tag and a PAX Trading Company tush tag. A little about me. At one time I had multiple iterations of EVERY:Beanie Baby (1st, 2nd and 3rd generation), Beanie Buddy, Ty Kids, Boppers, Pluffies, Baby Ty and quite a few prototypes. One year here, it was very lean and I donated my whole collection, save Wales (My husband was born in Wales) and a few prototypes, to Toys for Tots along with 2 or 3 boxes of hand made clothes, my collection of Barbies and all that goes with it. I miss my collection but feel secure in the knowledge a lot of children might be a bit happier. This listing is for an authenticated beanie baby named Peace. Peace as you can see in the photos is a super rare tiny version and is museum quality with rare 4th generation heart tag. Since this was authenticated it is free of any impurities and in a sealed container. Please see photos for more information on this beanie. I was a collector, not an expert in any way shape or form.
