This is a very rare TY Beanie Baby! Maple the Bear has never been removed from the packaging. There are 3 printing errors: one error is the date “1993” on the tag sewn to the bear and the birthdate on the back of the packaging stating July 1, 1996. The other error is that he was made in Oak Brook, IL, but his tag reads “Oakbrook” without the space! Finally, Maple the Bear was formally introduced on January 1st, 1997, but the back of the packaging states he was introduced on February 27th, 1997. This rare Beanie Baby is one of only 4,000 made this way! A rare find for any collector! Please note: yellow discoloration is specific to the plastic packaging, not the bear, due to age! Sale is for a very rare, exclusive “Britannia The Bear” Ty Beanie Baby distributed by McDonalds Ronald McDonald House Charities in the mid to late 90s. This Beanie is rare due to limited production number and multiple errors. The Beanie Baby is New-In-Box. Please read details below and view photos attached to this listing. The Beanie Baby you see in the photos is the Beanie Baby you will receive. Britannia was born December 15, 1997 and introduced on December 31,1997. The poem on the back of the package reads. Britannia the Bear will sail the sea. So she can be with you and me. She’s always sure to catch the tide. And wear the Union Flag with pride. Britannia The Bear is a rare retired Teenie Beanie Baby with 2 TAG ERRORS! She was exclusively a Ronald McDonald House Charity bear. She belongs to 1 of 4 of the International Bears collection from 1996/ 1997. She is 1 in 4,000 manufactured! Tush tag errors – the box states that her birthday is December 15, 1997 but her tush tag says 1993 and registered in Oak Brook, Illinois (where Ty, Inc headquarters is located) but the tag reads Oakbrook (without the space). Never been played with or taken out of the box. On the back of the package there are two small flaps in which I opened to take the photo of the tush tag. The edges of the box have some wear due to age (20 years old) but package is in otherwise excellent, near mint condition considering. Britannia The Bear herself is in absolute MINT condition! Named after the beautiful Emerald Isle. This teenie Beanie Baby will make you smile. A bit of luck, a pot of gold. Light up the faces, both young and old. Erin The Bear is a rare retired Teenie Beanie Baby with 2 TAG ERRORS! She was exclusively a Ronald McDonald House Charity bear. She is 1 in 4,000 manufactured! Tush tag errors – the box states that her birthday is March 17, 1997 but her tush tag says 1993 and registered in Oak Brook, Illinois (where Ty, Inc headquarters is located) but the tag reads Oakbrook (without the space). Never been played with or taken out of the box. On the back of the package there are two small flaps in which I opened to take the photo of the tush tag. The edges of the box have some wear due to age (20 years old) and part of the cardboard backing folded right where the plastic was glued and part of the plastic itself is a little dented but package is in otherwise good condition considering. Maple the bear likes to ski. With his friends, he plays hockey. He loves his pancakes and eats every crumb. Can you guess what country he’s from? Please note: I did not position the bears left arm in the waving position seen in the photos. He came that way and I have not touched the bear except to photograph the tag.
