Retired Beanie Baby Bear. Authenticated by Becky Estenssoro of True Blue Beans. Included in the sealed case is the Beanie Baby and Hotel Card that invited you to support the cause. It is the only Issy that came with a 6th Generation Hang Tag that has “2000” on the front of it. The other 62 Issy’s had 7, 8 or 9th Generation Hang Tags, none of which had 2000 on the front. Issy was named after the Four Seasons Hotel & Resorts founder, Isadore Sharp, in memory of his son Christopher Sharp who died at a young age. All the profits of the New York Issy went to Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in Manhattan to aid in pediatric research, and the proceeds of the retail versions went to the Terry Fox Foundation for cancer research. (Bonus: We have 3 Beanie Babies that were doubles in this lot, they will come with this complete set). All of the Beanie Babies names are Issy. Each Swing Tag has a poem, it goes like this. If you travel far and wide, Keep Issy always by your side. And when you must turn out the light, You’ll hear him softly say’Good Night’. Each Swing Tag and Tush Tag are identical except for the name of the city from each Four Seasons Hotel that this Beanie Baby represents. Each Beanie Baby has been carefully labeled of what city it is from and also showcased in its own display box (box measures approximately 8″ x 4″ x 4). I have personally looked at each Swing Tag to verify that the city is labeled correctly on the outside of the display boxes. They are in MINT Condition! Below is the list of all 63 cities that the Four Seasons Hotel is located. There are 3 photos for every 21 Beanie Babies since I was unable to photograph them all together. These Beanie Babies would make such an amazing addition to any Ty or specialty Beanie Baby collection, even for hotel advertisement collectors!
