Cubbie Beanie Baby by Ty is a retired and highly collectible plush with style number 4010, produced in China in 1993 during the early Beanie Babies era. This piece stands out due to an extensive set of confirmed manufacturing and tag errors that make it especially appealing to serious collectors. The bear has a brown nose rather than the standard black, and the hang tag shows several irregularities, including the name printed next to the style number instead of above it, a numeric birthdate rather than the spelled-out format, and an extra space between the date of birth and the semicolon. Additional tag inconsistencies include missing or misplaced commas, such as the absence of a comma and “UK” after “5TX, ” a comma following INC. ” and another after “IL, as well as a missing comma elsewhere on the tag. The tush tag lists the material as P. ” instead of “P. And the inner tush tag is missing its stamp. Overall, this is a rare error Beanie Baby from Ty’s early production years and a strong addition to any Beanie Baby or vintage plush collection. Recommended for ages 4 and up.
